Overview

Projects from Prototyping and User Interface Design

Within my two classes of Prototyping and User Interface Design, I was responsible for completing Weekly individual (Week 1-15) projects. These projects helped establish and enhance my UI aesthetics and knowledge of user journeys. Each project was specialized to different problem statements and themes. My main goal in each project was to design interfaces with a specific industry theme, along with applied UX user flows/UI Aesthetic principles. Along with applying common design laws such as Jakob's Law, Hick's Law, and Miller's Law etc.

Week 5

KSU Ticking service

The objective of this assignment was to design a flow where current students can find, select, and buy KSU related ticket events. Law applied here was the usability Peak-End rule. Lessons learned

What I need to improve on

Things I learned for next time:
1. Time management and patience allowing better research and design objectives

  1. Better application towards laws and how they relate to the user experience instead of putting more of my attention on the user interface.

  1. Better understanding of the contex of my designs on a business standpoint, by thinking on what elements would a successful business include in my designs

  2. Time + Effort can equal progress from week 1 to my final week I could greater see my strengths and weaknessess

  3. Asked more often for feedback on how I can communicate my design decisions better
