The Inspiration

For Halloween I wanted to be Guy Manuel from the electronic music group daft punk. From their timeless costumes, neo synthmusic, and their futuristic aesthetics, projects that were worth while. This was also a duel year project from 2024 Halloween and 2025 Halloween. Moc 1 made in 2024 and moc 2 in 2025. Moc 2 (the one we are showcasing) was done with the help of my fellow designers engineers, and friends Vu Ly and Charles Jackson

Planning and preperations

How we gained our designs

For our planning we researched and utlized online platforms that gave us free 3D CAD files for printing and augumentation. This same files could be used for anyone trying to make their own replicas.

How we each created our helmet

After each part from our assembly was printed we were each responsible for gluing, fabricating, sanding, and painting our parts. Materials and paints such as zipties, bondo, and filler primer etc. were each used to achive our goal.

How the visor was created

We wanted to make our visor transparent so it would be easy to spary with lens tint to create a slight opaque look similar to the real model. The process we used was theroforming industrial grade plastic. Thermoforming is the process of shaping plastic into new forms by heating plastic over a mold to create a unique shape.

The Final Products in action

Everything all put together in one

After a long month with my hardworking and respectful friends we achived our goal. From our starting research, finding materials, and using our time to our advantage. I couldn't have asked for a better team to make this dream become a reality.

Final Relections and thank yous

Challange + teamwork = growth

After our long month of our project we were satisfied with the work we all applied. However, with all projects there can be room for improvement and better planning. For example, some of the materials we used prior such as ABS filliment wasn't a good source to use for our original print. Additionally, we could have done more research on which material would be the best to make the "full" opaque look similar to the actual model. Overall, it was a fun time for the three of 3 and I look forward to working with my team again.
